BEVERLY KIWANIS INDUCTS
OFFICERS AND BOARD FOR 2004-2005

Beverly, MA, October 8, 2004 - Beverly Kiwanis held their annual Induction of Officers for the 2004 -2005 year at the Italian Community Center in Beverly September 30th.

The new slate of Kiwanis Officers for the upcoming year include: Fran Dichner - President, Paul Scopa, Bob Mangan, John Maihos, and Patricia Beckwith. The incoming Board of Directors are Katie Finch, Jack Simko, Bill Kell, Al Dichner, Sybille Denninger and Cynthia Montalbano.

The officers were inducted by Kiwanis Lieutenant Governor Ann Rich of Wilmington Kiwanis. Also in attendance at the Induction were many business leaders and politicians from the community including Beverly State Representative Mary Grant and Jo Lennox, President of the Beverly Chamber of Commerce.

Incoming Kiwanis President Fran Dichner is President of R&L Associates, Inc., a full service staffing firm located at the Cummings Center in Beverly, Massachusetts. She has been recognized as one of the Top 50 of the 100 women lead business in Massachusetts by Babson College and The Commonwealth Institute.

The first Kiwanis club was chartered on January 21, 1915 in Detroit, Michigan as an organization for men. In 1987, after overwhelming support, Kiwanis opened membership to women. Today Kiwanis has grown to more than 8,000 clubs worldwide with nearly 300,000 members in more than 70 countries.

Kiwanis International’s continuing service focus is to serve the children of the world and this mission is carried out through various projects including Young Children Priority One. Kiwanis members are encouraged to sponsor significant projects that serve the special needs of young children from prenatal development to age five.
